The Study Tour to Canberra we had been waiting for finally arrived. After 10 long hours on the bus, year six enjoyed a lovely swim at the AIS olympic swimming pool. We went to bed excited of what was to come of the next four days.
We woke up with enthusiasm the next day, and we hired bikes from Mr Spokes Bike Hire and went on one of the most beautiful bike rides some of the year six children had ever experienced. By the edge of Lake Burleigh Griffin, we had a delicious lunch and while the teachers relaxed, the children enjoyed cricket games and enjoyed some games in the grass.
At night time, we all had a fantastic bowling session at the AMF Bowling Centre. We were all exhsausted by bedtime and fell asleep easily.
We all woke up today full of energy ready for what was ahead. Firstly we visited the Black Mountain Tower which provided magnificent views of our National Capital. After that, we were impressed with some historical presentations of our Nation’s involvement in war at the War Memorial. The National Gallery presented outsanding artworks of many great artists.
Tomorrow we are off to Parliament House to see Parliament in action and hopefully we will meet Tim Mathieson and Julia Gillard. We hope to see Parliament debating Australia’s role in afghanistan. T

Cricket is a game a lot of people love and people say it’s the fairest game on the planet ,in fact people say if something’s not fare ,it’s just not cricket .So imagine what would happen if someone cheated at this game ,the world would go nuts. Betting is about guessing what you think will happen and if you win your bet you get money ,but if you lose ,you give money. People today in Pakistan people are betting on cricket ,which isn’t illegal ,unless you count that one of the betters are telling Pakistan’s players to do something and when ,so they can get money. But to do this ,the person needs to persuade the players with money so they can win. The players who were involved were captain Salman Butt ,Mohamad Asif and Mohamad Amir. Pakistan coach ,Waqar Younis said:”I am trying to get the team up again and make sure we deliver the best we can in the few next games and try and do the best we can that’s all I can do.” Everything has a different opinion ,some say we should give them a second chance ,some say we should ban these players for life ,which I agree with ,and some say the whole team should be banned for life. Well as the saying goes ,it’s just not cricket. People are saying that when they did do it on purpose it was obvious .in my opinion ,yes they did the wrong thing and maybe they should be for life but maybe they had their reasons ,what do you think. Pakistan players Salman Butt, Mohhammad Aamer, Mohammad Asif and Kamrah Akmal have been match fixing. People give them money to bowl a Know bal or drop a catch on like the 1st bowl of the 3rd over so people bet on it but that is illegal because they are betting on something that will definetly happen.
Firstly it is unsportsmanlike, cheating, Illegal and not cricket. Those players may of just lost the match for there team against England. So there is just no point playing the match.
Secondly they shouldn’t be banned for life because they deserve a second chance. But they should be banned for maybe a year or so. Because if you ban them for life then your really banning the team and the players that did nothing wrong.
Thirdly fans will get really mad and they will start fights and some people might shoot the players because it is like a religion to them.
So the players should be banned for maybe a couple of years because it will create riots and fights in Pakistan if they are banned for life.

When you think of cricket what do you think about? Fair, honest, the gentlemens game? Recently people have been accused of match fixing in cricket. Match fixing is illegal and people are wondering if the players should be banned for life if they participate in this act. In this story we will look at two points of views and then you can choose your side.
Firstly match fixing is extremely unsportsmanlike. Cricket used to have a good reputation, in fact if something was considered cheating people would say “its just not cricket”. Match fixing is illegal and unfair. Banning people so they can never play cricket would discourage more match fixing. Also it was their choice and they should face the consequences.
However if people got banned from playing cricket then in some places there would be no teams for cricket. In some countries cricket is like a religion and these countries would be outraged. Also everyone deserves a second chance to better themselves. Cricket might be the only thing they can do and if they were banned their families would suffer.
Therefor I believe a ban should be made but for one or two years so if they have families they can still support them and if they do it a second time than the get banned for life.
Firstly match fixing is extremely

Recently there has been an eruption in the cricket world. With Pakistan crickets found match fixing in the tests against Australia and England. There has been 4 crickets under suspicion the captain Salman Butt, bowlers Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amer and wicket keeper Kamrah Akmal.
There has been lots speculation on weather the Pakistan Cricket Team should be banned. Why because recently they have been match fixing. People say it’s cheating when you match fix because they are changing the result of the game. Also it’s not sportsmanlike i thought cricket was a fair game but i guess the cricket world has changed.
On the other hand all people deserve a 2nd chance before getting the boot and never playing cricket again. Also the Pakistan fans wont like it and it cause eruption in the city. For example riots, fights and even protests. Also Pakistan fans wont be happy because they wont have a team. The cricketer’s might have done it for the money because they might not be getting enough money for there families.
In my opinion I think they should bey banned because it is not cricket and it’s not how people play cricket. And it is cheating and if they didn’t cheat they could be a really good team.

The Cricket world lately has been hit hard with a match fixing scandle. There has been arguement over the three main Pakistan cricketers involved in the match fixing scandle. The captian Salman Butt, bowlers Mohammed Aamer and Mohammed Asifalso wicket keeper Komrah Akmal.
There has been some speculation whether the Pakistan cricketers should been be banned from cricket or not. But like all stories there is two sides to the scandle. People say that they should be banned because it is bringing the game into disrupt, it is cheating, it is also illegal and unsportsmen like.
On the other hand people say they should not be banned because everyone deserves a second cahnce, there willbe3 no cricket teams left, sposor ships will lose money, the players are on a contract, it is also their job to play cricket for their country and Pakistan people woreship cricket why should it be taken away from them.
Everyone has their opion I belive they should not be banned but have a hefty fined placed on them. At the end of the day people all all around the world enjoy cricket and it is their lives so we should play the game very fairly.

Imagine what it would be like to be at a cricket game. Now imagine cricket behind the scenes. Do you think of money, gambling and match-fixing? Three cricket players are about to get banned from the test series for match-fixing. But should the player or team be banned for life if found guilty of match-fixing?
It is evident that if you are found guilty of match-fixing, there should be a punishment, including banishment from playing cricket. There has recently been a video that has been launched on the internet that has proof that a man did bet on a player called Mohammad Aamer. He said that on the first ball of the third over, Mohammad will step over the line while bowling, getting a no ball. The next day, Mohammad stepped over the line on the first ball of the third over. This is called cheating and is worthy of banishment.
On the other hand, the player guilty of match-fixing deserves a second chance. The team will also lose it’s sponsorship and it’s fans. This is too much of a risk to ban them.
In conclusion, there are always two sides to the story. I believe that they should be banned if they are PROVEN to be guilty to match-fixing because they give cricket a bad name.

THE END!!!

It has been happerning in our Pakistan and in our own country aas well. Match fixing. Pakistan are ,well you could call it cheating. There friends are elling them things like , bowl a no ball on the 2nd ball of the 3rd over. Then they would go and bet on it. Should they be banned our should thay have two chances.
The sport of cricket has such a good reputation. Whit match fixing well it is just not cricket. Proven from vidio this has happened more than once.First against England then agianst Australia. In both games one of the Pakistan players perposly bowled a no ball. This is illagal and being a bad sport. Thats makes cricket look like a bad sport. Also alot of people think they should be banned for match fixing.
Onother point of view is that they should at least get a second chance or be serspended for a little while. Some people that it is really not the players that put the bets on right. So the people that tell to cheat should pay the price. Also most players are on the contract. Can they really rip it up over this. If any of this happenends it is the police and the clubs jobs to sort it out.
For my oppinoin they should be banned for life at least. Anyway it is a legal.

cricket is a game that many people love but recently there has been match fixing. were england payed Pakistani cricketers to deliberately try to mess up the matches. so should cricketers caught match fixing be banned?
yes they should for one it is really unsportsman like it’s just not cricket. cricket is supposed to be a fare game. also it’s cheating because people bet for the thrill of winning or loseing but now the can bet huge amounts of money and know they will win. thirdly it is illegal.
on the other hand if people want to be that stuped they can they should get 2 chances before they get the boot. and maybe the team isn’t earning enough money and they have to get money by match fixing. and they have a contract so they cant kick them out of the team.
my opinion is that yes they should be band but only for 2-6 years max but not for life. match fixing is wrong it’s not cricket

Cricket is known to be the gentlemans game but recently that has been brought down. Four Pakistan cricketers have been caught match fixing. Match fixing is where players deliberately mess up to win money on bets. But this has started a debate internationally about whether or not these cricketers should be banned.
These cricketers should be banned. Sportsman that match fix should be banned from sport permanently because it is unsportsmanlike and illegal in some places. It also brings the sport into disrepute. It is just not cricket and these players should be banned for life from the game of cricket.
On the other hand doesn’t every one deserve a second chance. It should be no different for sportsman. They have made a mistake and deserve a second chance. Also they could lose massive sponsorships and not be able to support their familys. There are also worse things happening in the world than match fixing like murder e.t.c. and so aren’t these things more important than match fixings.
In the end it is up to you to decide what to think. In my opinion I believe they should be banned for life because it is illegal to match fix and it brings the sport into disrepute.
