Should girls be allowed to work in the construction industry?
Previously men have been the only people who work on construction sites but more and more girls are learning about construction sites and how to build.
Girls should have the same opportunities as boys. Firstly girls always pay more attention to detail and if you are building a house and one of the bricks are not straight then the whole building is at risk of collapsing. Also we need more people in the building industry because it is a high risk job. Also men don’t leave school as early as they used to and get into the building industry instead they keep on going to school and do they’re VCE exam. So we need more people in the building industry and girls should have the same opportunity!
On the other hand construction sites are dangerous work places. Girls might not be as strong and if they have baby they would need a maternity leave and it would be to expensive for the employer. Also other workers could be at risk if a girl drops a heavy block and it lands on another persons foot, it could injure them badly.
In conclusion there are obviously two sides to this issue. In my opinion girls should be allowed to work in the construction industry. What do you think about this issue?

I also think girls should be encouraged to work in the construction industry. If they are trained correctly they should be able to do the same work as the boys. Obviously girls are not as physically strong as boys but there are ways to overcome that.
