A while a go in the past when your parents went to school boys use to go do wood work and girls use to do cooking and things. Now girls are getting more interested in the construction working and taking the mens place.

Firstly girls should have the same oppertunities as boys. We also need more construction workers because the population is rising and we also need to build more houses and buildings.

On the other hand construction sites are dangerous work places for girls. They can put people at risk. Girls are also not as strong as the boys so they can’t lift big peices of wood to other places.

It is evedent that their are clearly two sides to this issue. I believe in my opinion that girls should be able to be construction workers because it is a free country and they can learn anything they want.

On the 29th of july we went to CERES and it was a good day but the thing that i enjoyed the most was the 2030 trail. we had to sit down and close our eyes and imagian what it would be like in 2030. He askes us some quiestions about how do you think your house will look like, Are you living with anyone, Do you play a sport , What the city will look like etc. I think the point of the activity was to see what 2030 will be like and what we will be doing in the near future. I found out that if i do the same process that i did at ceres picking what to do with my future there would be a lot of crime. I will change my thinking about the future by choosing things more carefully and wisely.

The story Holes is about a Camp that is in the dessert. It is called Camp Green Lake where kids who do something wrong like steal a car, They have a choice of going to jail or Camp Green Lake to dig holes. They were digging for a box of treasure that Kate Barlow stole from stanleys dirty, rotten, pig, stealing, great, great grandfather and she burried it. The Holes were 5 foot deep and 5 foot wide. The camp has been digging for 110 years and they still can’t find it.

The Main Characters are stanley and zero and they went on a big journey as they walk through the desert to find somthing useful. Stanley had to carry zero up the Mountain to Big Thumb and the curse was broken when stanley’s great, great grandfather carried the pig up the mountain.

Some of the main events was when stanley carried zero up the mountain. Kate Barlow kissed sam the onion man and that was bad because white people weren’t allowed to kiss black people and black people weren’t allowed to kiss white people.

I thought this book was a great book. It had a lot of things you had to remember and i thought that was good because it all linked up together all at the end.

The 2010 soccer world cup that will be held in south africa will be an exciting event.There will be 715,00 people watching live in south africa. They will be thinking of making 3.3 billion dollers. The event will be bigger then the afl grand final and the olympics.

The country would need to have enough transport to carry all the people around the city. The country has to be secure so the players and the visitors feel safe around the area. The countries need some big stadiems for all the games to be held in. Aside from australia, england, russia, the united states. belgium and the netherlands and portugal and spain have all asked to host either the 2018 or the 2022 cups. Japan,Qatar and south korea have asked to host only the 2022 cup. As i said before it will be one of the biggest events. Go aussies

Neil Robertson age 28 won the world snooker championship in the uk. He was the first Australian to win. Neil Robertson lives in Victoria Australia.

The aim is to sink a red ball followed by a colored ball and so on. For each ball you sink you get that amount of points. All the coloured balls are put back on the table after being sunk until all red balls are of the table. Then players must sink all the coloured balls in a certain order. Once the final ball, the black one is sunk, the person with the most points wins the game or frame.

In the old days people played snooker and pool in bars with people smoking and the game was always beted on frames and the game was rough. But now it is not so bad.

Neil Robertson’s game went on the time of 9 footy matches. He came over with barely any money and he went home with $411,00  in his pocket. I think he did a great job.

Boy Overboard is a story about a brother and a sister , Bibi and amal who live in Afghanistan. The government is after them because they found out about their illegal school their mum was running and now they’re on their way to australia with smugglers to start a new life.

The author wrote this book because I think he wants people to read and think about people who live over in these unfair countries.

I thought that I learned what it is like in this country and how the government treats everyone. Like how girls have to be covered up and you aren’t allowed to play on the street. They should just let everyone free.

2 events are going to be held in India this year with some great athletes. They will take a ride overseas.

Will they? Some don’t want to go because they are nervous. All australian athletes are nervous about there safety.

The mens hocky team, the Kookaburras. Arrived in India and the security will be tight for the world cup. The cricketers back home are still wondering if they should go to India for the I.P.L series. Discussions continue about whether the australian athletes will be okay to compete in the commonwealth games there in october.

Why? because there has been a lot of terrorist attacks. A terrorist group has warned all the athletes to stay away.

A few weeks ago there was a terrorist attack at a bakery in Pune. In november 2008 there was a big terrorist attack at a hotel in one of the biggest countrys. They killed 175 people including 2 australians.

India wants to hold the commonwealth games so they can have a chance at bidding to host an olympic games.

Indian authorities are doing there best to make athletes safe. they promised huge security measures for the commonwealth games. Some of the aussie Netballers visited there recently

The australian Netball team had a look in the athletes village. They say it was magnificent. It is not completed yet but they think they will get it done. They got to look at there venues. They said when they were in the venues they felt safe.

The commonwealth games is being held in one spot but the trouble with the indian Premier leage is, its spread over the cities. so it will be much harder to police.

Star cricketers, shaun tait and simon katich are worried  about going and blues paceman bert cockley is relieved he missed on making the team.

Bert Cockley said if you go up there you can not come home.

The australia hockey team said it was ok after security experts said the threats to their comp was not serious.

The cricketers say they’ll go if security measures are improved.

The hockey tournament will be in use after the next few weeks to practise there security measures to ensure a safe commonwealth games in october. 

Wilson’s prom was going to be a great week. Al 99 students were very excited. After 3 and a half hours we got to wilsons prom. We parked at lilly pilly carepark and walked to Tidal River.

We got to Tidal River and got showed how to put up our tents. They were quite hard. That night we climbed Mt Oberon it was pretty challenging. We sat at the top watching the sunset go down. The view was great.

Next day we got up and had a run. We came back and had breakfast. We than walked to skueaky beach came back and did our activities. We had lunch and went on with the activities. That night we did biddies walk. It gave people a scare

On wedensday we had breakfast and did activities it was a very nice day. That night we did Trivia. My team came second.

On thursday we walked through lilly pilly gully. We came back and did activities. That night we did beach flags finals.

In the morning we got up and packed up our tents and got on the bus and went home.
