Is Fame Worth It ?

Would you like to be famous ? every ones dream is to be famous. Well it’s not all it’s cut out to be. Not many celebrities have the life they want to have. Fame isn’t allways the life of a dream.

Firstly not many celebrities have privacy. Even when they want to because society and the papparazzi take photo’s every minute of the day even when they take a step out of the dore. Can you imagine a photo that you wouldn’t like, in the newspaper which is shown around the world .

Secondly most celebrities are under a lot of pressure. They allways have to wear their best cloths even when they go shopping. They also have alot of preasure incase they do something wrong, where as we would just carry on whith our dailly life but for them it is shown all around the world.

Last of all they don’t have the happiest life. They can’t socialise whith friends that much because the papparazzi will allways be watching  them and taking photo’s. Would you like it if you could never spend time with your friends without people watching you ?

In conclusion fame isn’t all it;s cut out to be and surely these points have made you think that fame isn’t allways a good thing . If you take privacy and happiness away it doesn’t end up whith the best of all lifes. Fame can’t buy you everything.

Market Day Reflections

On 31st of May The Peninsula School year six had a market day. We prepared the day before and decorated our work benches. We had a bench to work on and a bench to serve people on. Mitch and I were selling Nachos, Sour Straps and TNT’s.

We came to school the next day full of excitement. When we arrived at our work benches we got out all our food and prepared for the first couple of people to come into the Ansett Hall. When they came in every one was getting excited. At first we were worrying because no one was buying our products. But then the year 4’s came in and we were selling out of sour straps and TNT’s we hadn’t sold many Nachos. 1 hour later we had sold out of Sour Straps so we went and bought some more Sour Straps.

Finally the seniors came in over 100 of them came down the stairs. Before we knew it there were about 10 people lining up to get Nachos. It was a very nerves feeling but after 20 minutes we had run out of Nachos all of our TNT’s and our second lot of sour straps.

We ended up with $216 and a profit of $168.80. Over all Mitch and I found it a great experience.

Wilsons Promontory

Our camp started on Monday. We were going to Wilsons Promontory. We all lined up outside our classrooms with our bags. We loaded our bags onto the bus and chose a seat to sitt on.After 3 and a half  hours we arrived 500 meters away from where we were staying. We had to get our bags and walk approximitly 10 minutes untill we arrived at our camp site.

When we got there we got ready to walk up Mt Oberon. The bus dropped us of halfway up, then we got off the bus and walked. We walked for about 1 hour. All of us thought it was amazing. We sat on large granut rock and we could see the vews over wilsons promontory. We could also see all the bays. It was definetly worth the walk. When we got back we had Milo then brushed our teeth and went to bed.

The next day we woke up at 6:30 in the morning we then walked to Squeeky Beach. We climed the rocks. The we walked back and they called out our activities. 6D were surving then bikeriding/shops. For the Surfing we got changed into our wetsuits then took a boared and walked down to the beach and sat on the sand. They then told us the basics of surfing . We sprinted down to the sea and started padling i caught a couple of waves so did everyone else. we then got dry got changed and walked to the campsite. After about an hour we were ready to go on the bikes. We road all over the campsite we road for approximitly 1 hour then swaped with the people at the shops. We got n$10 to spend i bought a drink and a couple of  lollies.

The next day we went Canoing then Absailing. The Canoing was really fun we Canooed up tidle river and back and we learnt all the teknikes. We then walked up to Absailing it was a 1.5 kilometer walk it was based neer Mushroom rock. the rock we were Absailing of was called Toad Rock at first i thought we were absailing of a huge rock but when i saw it i was excited to get started. Chloe showed an example then we started we put our harnes on then the man buckled us on to the peace of roap and we slowly absailed down Toad Rock it was scary at first but then i got the hang of it and it was really fun. We got 2 trys at absailing then we went back to the campsite. Mrs North ofered to take us down to the river . Most of us went some people played cricket while others swam in the river.

The next day we went down to the bech to do lifesaving we tried out for the flags i came 4th then we went back to the campsite to do our activities we chose i chose beach cricket and orientiering. First up was beach cricket our team won . I got out golden duck. before we went back we had a play in the water. the orientiering was great we had a puzle a map and a coumpas there were 8 pieces left on the puzzle each mark for orientiering had a puzzle piece. We had to try and find every puzzle piece left for our puzzle. When you had found every puzzle piece there would be one missing piece  that would have a number on it. That number would be a key if you had the right number you would open the lock on a lolie bag and you would get to share the lolies between your group we came second. Then everyone went dowd to the beach to do flags and red faces. The flags were very close. Out of the boys Tom Small won and out of the girls Claudier Whitford won. After the flags we did red faces lots of people did funny things.

The next day was the last day we packed all of our tents and packed our bags readt to leave . I didn,t want to leave it was a 2  1/2 hour trip wen we arived we all hellped unload and went home. Wilsons Promontory was one of my best camps and i hope one day i go back.
