Is Fame Worth It?

Every child’s dream is to be famous. But do they really know what it’s like to be famous?. Fame is supposed to make people happier but does it really?. There is plenty of evidence to suggest that fame is not like what its cut out to be, maybe being famous is your worst nightmare.

Firstly, being famous takes away your privacy. As people we savour privacy and being famous it is often lost. With the paparazzie around all privacy goes down the drain.

Secondly,if you’re famous everything must be perfect in your life . Your hair, figure and your face must be perfect. If your famous you have to say and do the right things.

Thirdly, money doesn’t buy you happiness. for famous people happiness is not something that exists. having a family and friends is what makes you happy at the end of the day we’re all people.

Evidence clearly shows that being famous doesn’t make your life happier than normal people with friends and family. If you are walking down the street with a bad hair day its not suddenly the biggest thing in the paper. If you like your privacy then becoming a celebrity is seriously not the best thing. staying normal you are automatically happier. :)

Holes Book Review

Holes is a book of conflict, which jumps back and forth from past to present, weaving it’s way back into one big story. This story is set in Texas on a dry dessert with a scorching hot sun.

Holes has many different but interesting charecters. In group D the main characters are Zero, Stanley and X-ray. When your reading this book you really feel for the characters. During the story Stanley and Zero run into quite a few problems. My favourite character is Zero because you really feel for him and everything he goes through.

Some of the past events affected the future events .When we first started reading we thought the boys were the to build character and to no that it wasn’t a girls scout camp but when we kept reading they were there to the treasure. The events happened because of the curse. the curse from Madame Zeroni and Stanley Yelnats. And in the end it all pieced together and you will find your self saying oh, oh, oh…………………

I would reconmend this book to anyone from any age and everyone. And if your into realistic books then this is the one for you.

Reflections Of Market Day

On market day Claudia and I set up to sell our cupcakes and ready for a success or disappointment either way we would be happy cause it was the experience that counted. I learned that we should have done a practice run so that we new how much products we needed, and I would have bought a pre made cupcake mixture cause making it from scratch took to much time and money. Claudia and I did really well at trying to get people to buy our product and we also did well at making the cupcakes and organising everything at school and on the day. If I were to do this again I would practise what I was doing and I would have not done cupcakes cause that didn’t really work and about 6 other stalls were doing them. Overall I enjoyed the experience and even no we didn’t get profit I will always remember and so far this was my high light :)

Previous Post

Monday was the first day of year 6 camp and everyone was so excited. When we hopped on the bus, after driving   1hr and a half we arrived at Leongatha, everyone ate straight away and played on the play equipment .After a while it was time to be on our way.

We were nearly to the vamp and the bus stopped at the car park. We all got out of the bus and walked the rest of the way. 30minutes later we arrived at the actual camp site and Bruce demonstrated to us how to put up our tents. We got all ready and had some dinner not knowing what was about to be announced, the teachers told us that we were going to walk up Mt. Oberon ,we got ready and began our walk, it was a big long walk. We got to the top and the view was magnificent ,we could just see the tents at tidal river.

On the following day our rotations started we went for a walk to squeaky beach, surfing, a bike ride and the shop, late that night we did stealth it was the best i wish that we could do more stealth and I’m happy that i chose stealth, in between those activities we had some yummy lunch and dinner.

The next day began with abseiling and canoeing, Boogie boarding which was one of my favourite activity. then late that night some fun trivia.

By the end of the camp everyone was exhausted and when we got on the bus many of us went to sleep, everyone was so hungry so when we got to Leongatha everyone enjoyed their lunch. The bus trip home was quick and when we did get to school everyone was very happy. it was a great camp and i would do it again. :)
